So, you got a juicer for Christmas? Here are some amazing juice recipes!

 

 

 

Juicing Recipes

  1. The Mean Green

– 1 Bunch of Kale,  I usually get 1 bunch of kale and 1 bunch of lacinato kale too because it’s dense in nutrients. 

– 2 Cucumbers

– 4 Green apples

– Half a lemon

– 2 pieces of celery – The recipe calls for more celery but the celery is so potent, I only use 2 stalks

– 1 knob of ginger

  1. Apple Carrot Ginger Juice

– 3 apples (I like to get at least 2 different kinds of apples to really make the juice flavorful)

– 6 carrots

– 1/2 inch knob of ginger

  1. Pomegranate Citrus Juice

– 1 Pomegranate

– 1 Large Pink Grapefruit

– 1/2 lime

– 3 Oranges

– 3 Carrots

  1. Alternative Mean Green

– 2 handfuls of Baby Spinach

– 1 Cucumber

– 1 Apple

– 1/2 a Lemon

– 4 Medium Carrots

  1. Citrus Beet Juice

– 1 Large Red Beet

– 2 Oranges

– 1 Large Pink Grapefruit

– 1/2 Lime

– 1 Pineapple

Best Type of Juicer:  

  • The Breville “The Juice Fountain” Mulit-Speed.  This is the juicer Lindsay has and highly recommends (On sale on Amazon Prime below)!!  It’s in the middle to upper class juicers but the variable speed is really great for all types of fruits and vegetables.  You can even purchase this juicer as refurbished to save some money here.

 

Even if you do not have a juicer, definitely consider getting one if you’re starting a new healthy eating regimen or want to lose weight this year!  You can drink the juices as meal replacements!  

 

Yes, juicing is a process and it will take you longer in the beginning to prepare the foods and juice everything.  It does get easier and don’t forget how healthy and yummy the juice is for you 😉
