What you’ll need: one large bouncy ball (Walmart), white t-shirts (Walmart) and red material (Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Joanne Fabrics). Total cost = $15, Fun = priceless
2. Chips and Dip & Rosie the Riveter
Chips and Dip – if you like chips and dip, you should already have the materials to make this costume, just go buy a sombrero.
Rosie the Riveter – buy a red bandana, blue button-down, red shorts and red lipstick… EASY.
3. Dead Deer
What you’ll need: form board, brown marker, headband, pipe cleaners, brown masking tape and white/black eyeliner.
How to make: Cut the form board with a box cutter, draw lines that look like wood. Then add pipe cleaners to the headband while you rip little pieces of masking tape to tape over your pipe cleaners. Deer face tutorials are all over the internet but we used this one here as a guide.
What you’ll need: Purple balloons, fake ivy, safety pins and an all black outfit. This one was the easiest outfit. I did it senior year of college with all of my sorority sisters and we were a “bunch of grapes” or “grapevine”. Just be careful of where you go because the balloons will pop!
5. Pippi Longstocking.
What you’ll need: A hanger, plaid top, jean shorts and eyeliner. All you need to do is bend the hanger into your hair to make whatever flip you want your hair to do and add freckles on your face!!
6. Picture Strip
What you’ll need: Large cardboard, box cutter/razor blade, printer and a camera. Pretty self-explanatory, pretty awesome and pretty easy!!!!!
7. The Leg Lamp from “A Christmas Story”
What you’ll need: leotard, fishnet leggings, black heels, Home Depot Lamp, fringe and stick-on letters. The only thing you need to do to make this costume is gather wire cutters to cut the lamp in half so you can fit it around your waist. Then just add the letter to your top and hot glue the fringe to the lamp. EASY PEAZZZZY.
Happy Halloween everyone! Make sure to stay safe 🙂
