Biskit Junkie – Biscuits, Burgers and More…

File_000 (46)

Biskit Junkie – Located across from El Tiempo on Westheimer and Taft.  It’s a great new addition to the Montrose area and since I live there, I couldn’t be more excited.  They just opened this new location and it seems to be very hit or miss with people but  I really enjoyed my experience!

Food:

The price is very affordable with biscuits ranging from $6-$13 and burgers anywhere from $6-$10.  I ordered the hungry man (pictured first below) with an egg.  The chicken was a little dry so I could’ve used more gravy but the biscuit was delicious even though it fell apart the second I bit into my sandwich.  I had to eat the whole thing with a knife and fork but I didn’t mind that at all.  My friends got the classic chick (pictured second below).  I cannot forget to mention the bottomless coffee – major key.  If the bicuits and burgers are too much for you, they also have plates like shortrib hash and belgian waffles.  There were plenty of side dished that looked delicious from skillet potatoes to fried house pickles.

Atmosphere:

The decor is very American themed with other Southern vintage decorations. A patio is located in the back and we had no trouble finding seating indoors with the humidity outside.  Unfortunately, the parking situation is not so great.  There are only 8 spots in the parking lot in the front of Biskit Junkie and street parking for everyone else.  Good luck.   The atmosphere is very casual and has a homey feel to it!  Did I mention the place is dog friendly?

Service:

The food is serviced really fast (amen).  Once you walk into Biskit Junkie and glance at everyone’s food they are eating, you immediately wish you were them.  The food looks like a delicious heart attack.  Everyone that worked there was very polite but there isn’t much interaction with the staff because they only deliver your water and food.

3 Things you need to go before coming here:

  1. They only accept credit cards.
  2. They are closed on Mondays but open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every other day of the week.
  3. You order electronically through a tablet and seat yourself.

If your mouth isn’t watering by now, check out their yelp page with more pictures here.  I think I’ll get a burger next time.
