We can both agree that Provisions (part of the duo restaurants Pass and Provisions) is one of our FAVORITE restaurants in Houston. For the quality and uniqueness of the food, it’s definitely worth it. We think the item that will break the bank is the wine, otherwise this place is affordable.
Our waiter was extremely helpful and pointed us to the favorite and most popular dishes. By far our favorite was the Cresto di Gallo shown below:
Pictures truly don’t give that dish justice. Even when we saw it on other tables we were like – ehhh are we sure we want to get that?! Well ladies and gentlemen, never judge a book by its cover! It was absolutely amazing; a must get.
We also ordered the short rib shown below which was really good. Melt in your mouth, falling apart as you stick your fork in it. Just the way it should be! Additionally, we ate the scamorza, caramelized onions, and guanciale pizza which was awesome. The crust was perfect for us northerners. The last thing we ordered was the crawfish-pimiento cheese dip with a freshly baked mustard pretzel. Sadly, as good as this sounds, it was our least favorite dish of the night. Don’t worry we didn’t let anything go to waste and still enjoyed stuffing our faces with pretzels and cheese :).
